Commands List

There are six sets of commands in Matthew 6:

1. Mat 6:1 “Beware of practicing your piety before men in order to be seen by them;
3 But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,

#2. Mat 6:5  “And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites;
6  But when you pray, go into your room … and pray to your Father

#3. Mat 6:9  Pray then like this: (The Lord’s Prayer)

#4. Mat 6:16  “And when you fast, do not (be like) look dismal, like the hypocrites,
17  But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face

#5. Mat 6:19  “Do not lay up (store up) for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal,
20  but lay up (store up) for yourselves treasures in heaven,

#6. Mat 06:25  “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life
28  And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field
33  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well.

What is the solution suggested in the text, if there is one?
