- BIBLE STUDY — Daniel, a 12-Session Study from Beth Moore. The prophet Daniel faced unbelievable pressures—to compromise his faith, to live in a hostile culture, and to confront temptations and threats. Today, believers face many of the same trials. This study examines how believers can develop integrity in our modern-day Babylon, and then explores prophecies from the time of Daniel through the second coming of Christ. The first session began last Tuesday evening, 6:00-8:00 pm and Wednesday morning, 9:00-11:00 am. It’s not too late to join us for the next 11 sessions, just call Kim or the church office.
- KASKASKIA DISTRICT UNITED METHODIST WOMEN Personal Growth Retreat, will meet in the Fellowship Hall, Thursday, March 3, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. When planning this retreat, we thought of all the difficulties everyone has had these two years in adjusting to the pandemic of COVID. This program may help us in something we have struggled/struggling with OR we may know someone that would like some information concerning this issue, or others. Hal Hebron, SHELTER ADVOCATE at Hope of East Central Illinois will be presenting part of the morning session of the program. She will be using POWER POINT to talk about recognizing/acknowledging and dealing with abuse in the home. The pandemic has affected lives in many negative ways. At 1:00 pm, David Judy from SENIOR RENEWAL, FLORA, IL, (affiliated with Clay County Hospital) will be sharing “COPING WITH THE OUTFALL OF COVID; SPIRITUALLY, MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY”. • Olivia Snider • Billy Soldner - CONGRATULATIONS to Derek & Kate Chancy on the birth of a daughter, Meredith Kate, born at 9:05 pm, Monday, February 21. Meredith weighed 6 lbs 15 oz and was 20.75 inches long. Grandparents are Larry & Ruth Hebron 11, great-grandparents, Larry & Patsy Hebron.
- WE HAD A GREAT TIME AT HAND N’ HAND Monday, 2/21. We had 11 kids and 13 adults! The children practiced a bell song, learned about Jesus’ great love for us, and watched an experiment about Jesus washing our sins away. All enjoyed a supper and made a cross wordless book…with words in it for reminders!
