WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO KNOW —
- EVERY PERSON connected to our church remains a part of our church family and the history of our church forever. Sometimes people move away and over the years, join another church and we are not aware. We are going through the membership book alphabetically for Kinmundy first, listing four names each week for prayer:
Denise Slane
Robert & Linda Slater
Curtis Smith
Darren Smith - QUILTERS will meet Wednesday, February 16, at 1:00 pm in Fellowship Hall to socialize and tie quilts. New faces are always welcome.
- We — Encourage you to wear a mask while inside the church building
· Encourage you to spread out, as social distance protects everyone.
· Worship is prerecorded, so if you are feeling cautious or not feeling well, you can watch on your computer, tablet or smartphone by clicking on the link on the church facebook page or the church blog at www.kinmundychurch.org—top right corner. - PRAYERS NEEDED for Mark & Dolores Ford Mobley — Just yesterday, Mark was moved to “comfort care” at Memorial Hospital in Springfield, and will be coming home soon under hospice. He has been fighting melanoma since August 2020, and had it under control with immunotherapy until August 2021 when all havoc broke loose. He has been in the hospital between Labor Day and Christmas for about 2 and a half months with all sorts of complications, but I was able to bring him home from Christmas ….until this past Monday. At that point, he was receiving blood in Springfield and had a brain bleed due to the melanoma that had spread thru his body. He has some extra issues now, but has moved from ICU to a regular room for a few more days, and then I’ll be bringing him home. He’s talking, still bossing me around from time to time, and continues to ask for orange popsicles, The Price is Right and Jeopardy … AND he wants me to put a STL Cardinal emblem on his door next to the butterfly they’ve placed there. Our kids are all here and have been a great help and comfort as well. So …. we so appreciate your thoughts, concerns, and prayers. We sure do have the best friends around. Thanks so much. - LARRY BAYLIS would like to thank everyone at KUMC for the cards that he has received. He appreciates hearing from us. He is doing well and hopes to move to Heritage Apartments on N Monroe St. soon.
- THREE MORE BABY AFGHANS for the Baby Baskets that Twilight Circle presents to new babies born to family members or friends of our congregation Judy McCarty lovingly makes these afghans. We believe Judy has made at least 18 for the baskets and several more for others.
