Edward was a proud United States Army veteran, serving in Vietnam as a sergeant. He was an active and a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 126 in Jensen Beach, Florida, where he served as a former commander. He was an Accredited American Legion service officer and graciously used his training to assist fellow veterans and their families. Edward worked the polls in Martin County, Florida. He loved the game of football cheering his favorite team, the New York Jets, on to victory ever since he was a boy. Edward was down to earth and had the ability to make anyone he was around feel welcome and at ease.
Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia is privileged to be assisting the family of Edward McKeon with arrangements. A celebration of life service will be held privately by the family.
We have come here today,
not to remember the death of Eddie McKeon
but to remember his life…
We have come to be in the presence of God,
who comforts our hearts,
so filled with sadness & memories at this time.
Let us, in this moment of silent prayer,
give our thoughts and feelings
into the hands of Christ Jesus who loves us.
