“CORONA BLIZZARD POLICY” – all Kinmundy and Wesley United Methodist Church activities outside of worship will not meet until children return to school.
Our church has a policy that if the schools close because it is unsafe for children to be out because of bad weather, church activities will be canceled that day because it is likewise unsafe for the elderly to be out.
On Sunday, 3-15-2020, our Church Council met and decided that we should apply this same policy during the current Coronavirus concern.
The church office will be open but perhaps not with regular hours as staff may be working at home. (Unless it is canceled, the pastor will be serving as an election judge tomorrow, 3-17-20, and the Kinmundy 2 Precinct.) Please feel free to phone or mail or email anything you need to the church, or drop something off.
We will be experimenting with differing ways to hold committee meetings, bible studies and staying in touch online – particularly through Facebook. (If you were unable to attend worship this past week, you can “worship at home” by visiting the church blog … www.kinmundychurch.com … and click on the link for the post you want in the right-hand column.)
At this time, we are not planning to cancel worship … but if it is necessary, a decision will be made and announced on Saturday morning. “Worship at Home” will still be provided, with Pastor Dave recording a sermon in the church office.
