WORSHIP AT HOME for 3/28/20. If illness, travel or the Coronavirus prevents you from attending a local church this weekend, or if you would like to experience the worship again, you’re welcome to use the links below to have a time of worship at home. (Just right click and select “Open link in new tab” to play each hymn or the sermon in a new tab, and close that tab when finished. If there is an advertisement, a button that will allow you to skip ahead to the music usually appears in the lower right of the screen after 4 seconds.)
CALL TO WORSHIP: Our call to worship is to pray the Wesley Covenant Prayer:
I am no longer my own, but thine.
Put me to what thou wilt, rank me with whom thou wilt.
Put me to doing, put me to suffering.
Let me be employed by thee or laid aside for thee,
Exalted for thee or brought low for thee.
Let me be full, let me be empty.
Let me have all things, let me have nothing.
I freely and heartily yield all things to thy pleasure and disposal.
And now, O Glorious and blessed God,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
Thou art mine, and I am thine. So be it.
And the covenant which I have made on earth,
Let it be ratified in heaven. Amen.

A TIME OF PRAYER (Testimonies, Joys & Concerns)
Please pray for yourself and your neighbors, lifting up your needs to God while giving thanks for answered prayer. (Prayer requests can be found on the Kinmundy United Methodist Church Facebook page.)
The Bishop’s Prayer: “Lord, send the gentle wind of your Holy Spirit to blow upon the embers of my heart and fan me into flames for Jesus”
The Lord’s Prayer: Our Father, who art in heaven; hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

MESSAGE:
Bishop Frank Beard
“Some Good News: Learning to Fish Like Jesus — Mark 1: 16-20”
Mark 1:16 And passing along by the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net in the sea; for they were fishermen. 17 And Jesus said to them, “Follow me and I will make you become fishers of men.” 18 And immediately they left their nets and followed him. 19 And going on a little farther, he saw James the son of Zeb’edee and John his brother, who were in their boat mending the nets. 20 And immediately he called them; and they left their father Zeb’edee in the boat with the hired servants, and followed him.

BENEDICTION: Let us dedicate ourselves to the service of Jesus by joining in the Prayer of Saint Francis:
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace
Where there is hatred, let me sow love
Where there is injury, pardon
Where there is doubt, faith
Where there is despair, hope
Where there is darkness, light
And where there is sadness, joy
O Divine Master, grant that I may
Not so much seek to be consoled as to console
To be understood, as to understand
To be loved, as to love
For it is in giving that we receive
And it’s in pardoning that we are pardoned
And it’s in dying that we are born to Eternal Life
Amen
