2019 06/27 – Mary Bushue Funeral Service
Mary F. Bushue, age 62, of Kinmundy, IL died June 23, 2019, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon surrounded by her family.
Mary was a member of the United Methodist Church in Kinmundy, and active in the Kinmundy Food Pantry. She had worked for Kinmundy Insurance Company, and in the Assessors Office at the Marion County Courthouse. She was also a member of RHO Beta Sigma Phi and former Woman of the Year, a member of Starshine, Marion County Home Extension, the Happy Hearts Quilt Guild, and enjoyed crafting. She loved to cook for family and friends, and was especially talented at baking and decorating cakes.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Kinmundy, with Rev. Dave Kueker officiating. Burial will follow at Sandy Branch Cemetery, Alma. Visiting hours will be from 5-8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the Rankin Funeral Home in Salem, and from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour at the church on Thursday. The family suggest memorials in Mary’s memory be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Kinmundy Food Pantry and will be accepted by the Rankin Funeral Home, entrusted with the family’s care.
She married Wayne F. Bushue, December 12, 1982, at Wesley Methodist Church, Alma, IL, and he survives. Also surviving are her children, Matthew (Carrie) Bushue of Kinmundy, Linda Bushue of Salem, Crystal (Daron) Stuckemeyer of Altamont, Heather Bushue of Effingham, Leah (Frank) Blomberg of Farina, and Cassie Rinker of Festus, MO, along with 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her parents Cecil and Thelma Jones of Salem, along with her brothers Cecil Lee (Mary Beth) Jones, Jr. of Centralia, IL and Tom (Sue) Jones, of Effingham.
Born March 1, 1957, in Salem, she was the daughter of Cecil L. Jones, Sr. and Thelma (Runyon) Jones. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Erica Dawn Bushue (1985).
